My Fascination with Elephants

 


If you ask someone what their favorite animal is, most would answer "dogs" or "cats." But my favorite is a bit different. No matter how much I love them, it makes me sad that I can't keep one as a pet at home. All this time, I’ve been talking about elephants! šŸ˜



If there’s an elephant wherever I go, I definitely take a photo. Most of the time, I try to snap a picture with them. This is a photo of me with "Kataragama Wasana." šŸŒš



It’s not just Wasana; I’ve even taken a photo with a wild elephant. I can't quite remember his name, but he is a famous one who lives in Sithulpawwa.



I would honestly love it if I could raise an elephant at home.

I’m writing about something I never even thought I would write.

 Yes, that’s true. I never even dreamed that I would feel like writing something like this. But because of a journey I once went on, I felt the urge to write this. What I am talking about is a religion, or rather, a belief. I prefer to call it a belief rather than a religion, because to follow a religion one must be a devoted follower of it. But to believe in something, I think devotion alone is enough. I am a Buddhist. But quite unexpectedly, I got the chance to visit a  church. That was the Marawila Kurusa Church. Having never been to a church before, I felt a strange sensation when I went there. Was it emptiness? Was it mystery? I have no idea. But it was a very beautiful feeling. Lovely kandy
