My school


My school is the place that taught me everything about life. That is Wimaladharma National School. From the day I left preschool and stepped into Grade 1, my school educated me with immense love. Today, if I stand as a scholar, it is all because of my "School Mother."


I was a very mischievous child when I was little. However, it was my school that transformed me into the person I am today. I was not a student who went to extra tuition classes, even for the Scholarship Examination. To tell the truth, I even passed my Advanced Level exams without attending a single tuition class.


This is how my school shaped me. I was like a raw gem handed over to the school by my parents, and my school polished me into a beautiful and valuable jewel. I will always love my school for adding such great value to my life.

I’m writing about something I never even thought I would write.

 Yes, that’s true. I never even dreamed that I would feel like writing something like this. But because of a journey I once went on, I felt the urge to write this. What I am talking about is a religion, or rather, a belief. I prefer to call it a belief rather than a religion, because to follow a religion one must be a devoted follower of it. But to believe in something, I think devotion alone is enough. I am a Buddhist. But quite unexpectedly, I got the chance to visit a  church. That was the Marawila Kurusa Church. Having never been to a church before, I felt a strange sensation when I went there. Was it emptiness? Was it mystery? I have no idea. But it was a very beautiful feeling. Lovely kandy
